A little about me...
I create abstract paintings inspired by possibility, curiosity, and the belief that we're never finished becoming.
My path to becoming an artist wasn't a straight line.
Before becoming an artist, I was a teacher, homeschool mom, coach, real estate investor, and sporting goods store owner. Later came podcasting and a monthly mail subscription, The Good Fortune Club.
Looking back, none of those chapters were part of some carefully designed plan. Most began with a simple spark of curiosity and a willingness to see where it might lead.
In my 50s, that curiosity led me to painting.
What started as a creative experiment eventually became a career and a body of work collected throughout the United States and internationally. More importantly, it taught me something that has become central to both my art and my life:
We are allowed to become someone new.
I rarely begin a painting with a fixed plan. Each piece develops through layers of exploration, adjustment, discovery, and change. What begins on the canvas is rarely what emerges in the end.
Over time, I've realized people aren't so different.
We are all works in progress, continually becoming.
My paintings are created with that spirit in mind. They are reminders that life is still unfolding, possibility still exists, and there may be chapters ahead of us that we cannot yet imagine.
Whether you're creating a new home, entering a new season, pursuing a dream you've postponed for years, or simply looking for a piece of art that makes you feel something every time you walk past it, I hope my work serves as a reminder that possibility is never as far away as it seems.
My hope is that the art you surround yourself with reminds you of that too.
